There are known issues with the patcher and Macs with a T1 security chip, for example. So if you do install Sonoma, Ventura, Monterey, or older, on an unsupported Mac don’t expect it to run smoothly. Older Macs just don’t have the necessary components or power required to cope with the demands of the more modern systems.
